Weekly training groups

Monday

Ladies Workout

The group gets together at 4pm at Sheeps Pond in Brewster (Fisherman’s Landing, off Route 124). For the swim they break into two groups (one novice, one advanced) and swim for a half-hour or so. Then it’s a 30-45-minute bike or run along the nearby Rail Trail. Once you’re on the contact list you’ll receive advance notice of the upcoming week’s plan.

Track Workouts:

 Monomoy (Harwich) HS track. Try and show up by 6:15, run easy, and we'll get going at 6:30pm. Know your best recent race times when you arrive. Runners of all abilities are welcome to this specific and tailor made workout. A tip jar will be put out for Justin's efforts. Tuesday: Bike the Hills

Up to 27 miles biking the Upper Cape's hills. Leaves from Compass Athletics, 3 Jan Sebastian Dr. (off Rt. 130) in Sandwich at 5:45am SHARP. This ride is open to riders who have the ability to ride at 17 mph average in a group, and will regroup at stops. However, riders who cannot keep the pace may be dropped. Wednesdays: Swim Workout

We’ll zip from Orleans Center out to Wellfleet and back. Meet at 5:15pm at old railroad station site at intersection of Main Street and Old Colony Way.

Join the group at 7am for a refreshing dip in Scargo Lake in Dennis. Find the town beach off Rt. 6A (Dr. Lord’s Road). Held rain or shine.

2018 Long Pond Triathlon Schedule

Quarter-mile swim, 10-mile bike, 5k run. Newcomers welcome. Meet at Brewster’s Long Pond Beach off Crowell’s Bog Road (north of Route 6 on Route 124). Suggested donation of $5 to help pay for the lifeguards
